Peter Baugh of The Athletic spoke to Rangers forward Conor Sheary, who has been in a scoring slump for the last 7 games of the season. Instead of relenting to his doubters, he believes the points will come eventually.

Forward Conor Sheary has been held scoreless in the last 7 of 10 games played for the New York Rangers.
His last point came in the game against the 4-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings, adding another assist to his bucket for the year per ESPN.
In total, he's tallied a total of 5 assists in 23 games for the Rangers, and has taken some criticism for his lack of production in 2025-26.
Once viewed as a smart addition by the Rangers, fans are upset, and instead of letting people trash his game, Sheary's responded:

The New York Rangers Viewed Conor Sheary as a Smart Addition, was he?

The Rangers signed Conor Sheary to a one-year contract onon October 6th, 2025. The depth forward makes $775K AAV (average annual value) after converting his PTO into a full-time contract.
The player who began this year on a professional tryout was thought to be a game-changer in the lineup. But has barely been a blip on the team's radar this year.
After beginning the year with a strong start, the team is now 10-10-2, 8th in the Metropolitan Division, and the offense seeminly evaporating.
Sheary, in 2022-23, played 82 games for the Washington Capitals, scoring 37 points (15-22), and was able to leverage that into another contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning the season after.
However, since then, his production has declined as time progresses (15 points 4-11 in 57 games) for the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2023-24.
If Sheary wants to prove himself, now would be the best time, considering the team's playoff hopes could be circling the drain by January.
