Former New York Rangers forward's career in the National Hockey League in question after he still remains without a contract just weeks before the 2025-26 season begins.

Former Rangers' forward Jack Roslovic, has had quite the quiet offseason on the open market but he did manage to get a little bit of attention as it was recently reported that he turned down an offer from the Edmonton Oilers.
According to reports from Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic, Roslovic is looking to secure a longer term deal, rather than just sign for one year. Which could explain why he turned down an offer from a true Stanley Cup contending team.
Here's what LeBrun had to say:
«I do believe there was an offer from the Edmonton Oilers at some point, but Roslovic, 28, turned it down Word is he'd like to get term on his next deal - more than one year. That may not be easy to do this late into things, with teams mostly filled out.»

Will Jack Roslovic Secure A New Contract Before The 2025-26 Season Starts?

Jack Roslovic may have just ruined his only chance at securing a contract after turning down the Edmonton Oilers, as most NHL teams have their ideal roster in mind along with no salary-cap to offer a a multi-year deal.
However according to reports, it doesn't look good as non-contenders such as the Chicago Blackhawks, San Jose Sharks and the Anaheim Ducks are unlikely to sign a 28-year-old to a long term as he doesn't fit their rebuild.
Along with rebuilding teams like the Boston Bruins, and Pittsburgh Penguins, as they are more focused on waiting for something better to come along.
Then lastly, contending teams, don't seem like the right fit for Roslovic as he already turned down a deal from the Oilers, the Carolina Hurricanes had the option to re-sign him but decided not to, and teams like the New York Rangers, Dallas Stars and even the Colorado Avalanche don't seem likely.
