Late on Tuesday night, New York Rangers forward Adam Edstrom spoke out on being healthy scratched from the lineup for the second time this season.
Just moments before the New York Rangers game on Tuesday night, when they faced off against the Golden Knights, Mike Sullivan decided to make a few last-minute changes to his roster, as he healthy scratched forward Adam Edstrom and had Juuso Parssinen slot in.
Will Borgen is officially IN #NYR lineup. Juuso Pärssinen also set to play for first time since Nov. 8, replacing Adam Edström on the fourth line.
However, according to Mike Sullivan, the move was made based on a bit of a performance standpoint, as Edstrom hasn't had much luck on the ice.
head coach Mike Sullivan on playing Juuso Pärssinen over Adam Edström:
"It was a little bit performance based. Part of it was, you know, we've got Pars here that's working hard. We wanted to get a different look from the fourth line."

Adam Edstrom speaks out on being scratched from the New York Rangers lineup once again
Following the Rangers game on Tuesday night, Edstrom spoke with Mollie Walker of the New York Post, where he openly stated that he knows that he needs to be better while on the ice.
#NYR Adam Edström, who was a healthy scratch last night, on his game:
«Up and down, I know I can produce better hockey than I've done so far. First period of time that I sat out, I had some smaller stuff that I was dealing with, and I thought that kind of affected my game a little bit. But, overall, I just feel like I gotta be better when I'm out there.»

It's good to see that the players can acknowledge when they need to do better. However, it would be nice if they started doing something about it moving forward.
