According to reports on Monday morning, it appears that former New York Rangers defenseman's return to Madison Square Garden with the Carolina Hurricanes has just been confirmed.
Throughout the offseason, the New York Rangers decided to trade K'Andre Miller to the Carolina Hurricanes, for a return of two draft picks and defensive prospect Scott Morrow.
Since then, many fans have been anticipating Miller's return to Madison Square Garden, as the 25-year old has spent the last five seasons with the organization after he was drafted during the first-round of the 2018 NHL Draft, with the 22nd overall pick.
Unfortunately that won't be happening anytime soon as several reports confirmed he won't be traveling to New York with the Hurricanes.
K'Andre Miller Won't Be Returning To Madison Square Garden Just Yet
Back on October 31st, Hurricanes GM Eric Tulsky placed the former 1st-round pick on the injured reserve, which is retroactive to October 20th, according to DailyFaceOff:
Miller's placement on IR is retroactive to Oct. 20, meaning that he can return to play whenever he's ready and when a roster spot is available. The 25-year-old has been out of action for a little over a week since suffering a lower-body injury. Head coach Rod Brind'Amour told the media it «could be a while» before Miller's ready to get back into the lineup.
However, according to reports on Monday, Rod Brind'Amour confirmed that Miller won't be travelling with the team to New York. Which means Miller won't be returning to Madison Square Garden until the new year, on Feb 5th.
K'Andre Miller (lower-body injury) won't face his former team tomorrow in New York.
He's missed five games, but Canes head coach Rod Brind'Amour again said he doesn't anticipate the defenseman being out too much longer.

Miller's production had taken off with his new team, as he'd scored 4 points (2-2) in 6 games under Head Coach Rod Brind'Amour.
