New York Rangers forward Mika Zibanejad addresses the frustration that has followed after another shutout loss at Madison Square Garden.

Following a 3-0 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night, Zibanejad spoke candidly about the Rangers' ongoing scoring issues. The shutout came one night after a 4-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks, extending a troubling trend that has followed the team all season.
Zibanejad did not play Monday due to discipline, but he made clear the issue goes far beyond one game or one player. He pointed to road performances as proof the Rangers can score, while admitting the lack of goals is still hard to explain.
Through 35 games, the Rangers have scored just 88 goals, near the bottom of the league in production. Even more concerning, 10 of their 15 losses have come at home, turning Madison Square Garden into a place of pressure instead of comfort.

Mika Zibanejad speaks honestly about the New York Rangers offense

The Rangers have struggled to generate second chances, with too many shots coming from the perimeter and not enough chaos around the net. When early chances don't go in, confidence seems to drain quickly.
Zibanejad's remarks after Tuesday's loss captured that feeling and quickly circulated online.
"We can score goals. How many games have we played on the road that we've shown that we can score? I'd be more worried if it's all through the season. I don't know what else to say. I just wish we scored more goals"
The contrast between home and road performances continues to stand out. On the road, the Rangers play looser and score more freely. At home, every missed chance feels heavier.
This isn't a one-week slump. It's a season-long issue that has now defined the Rangers' record. Fixing it won't come from talk alone.
