New York Rangers Star Forward Linked To The Maple Leafs In A Massive Blockbuster Trade
Former NHL player and hockey analyst links New York Rangers star forward, Vincent Trocheck, to the Toronto Maple Leafs in a massive blockbuster trade that would ultimately destroy what the Rangers have built in recent years.
The 2025 offseason has been filled with a ton of potential trade scenarios, and many of those seem to be involved around the New York Rangers. Most recently former Maple Leafs and podcast co-host Joe Rosehill has just linked Trocheck to the Maple Leafs as a solution to their top-six forwards.
Why Jay Rosehill believes Vincent Trocheck would the perfect player for the Maple Leafs
During the recent Leafs Morning Take Podcast, Jay Rosehill stated at the 42:50 mark, that Vincent Trocheck could be a potential player who has a ton of skills that the Leafs need, along with being a tremendous leader.
"Another guy is Vincent Trocheck. He's 32 years old, so he's got the experience. I just think that you put him in this lineup (and) he would fit; it's like there's kind of a big missing piece in this forward group, kind of in that middle-six type of deal.
And to fill it with a high-end guy like Trocheck, it would just be like, the balance would just be humming."

Just last season, Trocheck was linked to the Maple Leafs at the trade deadline but thankfully that fell through, as he has been a solid offensive player for the New York Rangers.
It's Unlikely That The Rangers Will Trade Vincent Trocheck Anytime Soon
It's very unlikely that President and General Manger Chris Drury will trade Vincent Trocheck anytime soon, as the forward has been rumoured to become the Rangers next captain, and has truly solidify himself to a be very important player to the organization.
Last season Trocheck had 59 points in 82 games for the Rangers (26 goals, 33 assists), along with a total of 578 points in 801 games (223 goals, 355 assists) while being elite defensively.
But as always only time will tell what the Rangers will do with Trocheck, as Drury has made his message loud and clear to everyone in the organization, that he's willing to trade anyone no matter the cost, such as former captain Jacob Trouba and long-time veteran Chris Kreider.
