New York Rangers To Trade For JG Pageau: An Official Timeline Was Just Confirmed To The Media
A major development has just surfaced in the New York Rangers acquiring a center from their divisional rivals after just recently been linked to him.
Recently the New York Rangers have been linked to PG Pegeau of the New York Islanders, and new reports have surfaced that indicate when the Rangers could be expected to trade for him as an official timeline has just been leaked to the media.
Since the time of the 2025 NHL Draft, JG Pageau's name has been swirling in a ton of trade speculation, and the New York Rangers are one of many teams that have been linked to the former 40+ point scorer.
However, now that time has past and JG Pageau still hasn't been dealt in a trade, President and General Manager Chris Drury still has time to pull off another big trade.
Official timeline to when the New York Islanders are expected to part ways with PG Pageau
According to reports it wont as soon as many thought, but this doesn't mean it wont happen as a timeline for his departure was just revealed by Jeff Marek.

With this being said, reporter, Jeff Marek, believes that the New York Islanders are going to delay any trades regarding Pageau until his replacement, Cal Ritchie, is ready for the NHL after at least 30 games within the American Hockey League (AHL).
Meaning the New York Rangers will have plenty of time to see if their latest offseason acquisition's will be enough to get them back into the Playoffs this upcoming season.
