New York Rangers head coach Mike Sullivan has just made several significant changes to his lineups ahead of their upcoming game against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday night.
During the New York Rangers morning practice on Thursday, several rinkside reporters revealed that Mike Sullivan has decided to make a few drastic changes to his lineup ahead of their upcoming game against the Avalanche.
Over the Rangers' last few games, it has been clear that their current lineups are no longer getting the production that's needed to win games, as they lost 3-2 to the Golden Knights on Tuesday and 2-1 to the Red Wings on Sunday.
Ultimately, this left Mike Sullivan with no choice but to make some changes in the lineup in hopes of sparking an offensive boost.
New York Rangers line changes ahead of Thursday night's game
According to reports on Thursday morning, it appears that Mike Sullivan has decided to break up Mika Zibanejad and J.T. Miller, as the Rangers' second line will now have Zibanejad at centre. While Miller will play alongside Vincent Trocheck on the first line.
Along with this, it appears that forward Juuso Parssinen will be coming out of the lineup once again, as he and Urho Vaakanainen will be scratched for tonight's game.
Urho Vaakanainen and Juuso Pärssinen are the last #NYR skaters on the ice, indicating they will be the scratches tonight.
So it's safe to say that the New York Rangers will certainly look different tonight, and hopefully, this will help generate some offence for them against the Colorado Avalanche.
