New York Rangers head coach Mike Sullivan confuses fans with mixed signals on top defensive prospect following latest decision moments before Tuesday night's game against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Back on Sunday night, the New York Rangers made the decision to recall top offensive prospect Scott Morrow from the Hartford Wolf Pack. A move that excited fans as they got to finally see the player they traded K'Andre Miller for in action.
Unfortunately, this is where the confusion comes in. Head coach Mike Sullivan appears to be very excited about the 23-year-old game and speaks highly of the prospect. However, ever since Morrow was recalled, he has only played in one game with the Rangers, where he didn't even see a total of 10 minutes of ice time.

«I think he's a good, solid two-way defenseman. I think he's a good puck mover, in particularWe think he has decent instincts offensively. He can help us with a transition game. He's pretty good along the offensive blue line. He has good size. I think, positionally, there's an opportunity for growth there and I think we've got a chance to help him. Physically, I think he's capable of playing at this level. He's hockey strong.»

Along with this, just moments before the Rangers game on Tuesday night against the Vegas Golden Knights, Mike Sullivan decided to make Morrow a healthy scratch. Yes, defenseman Will Borgen returned to the lineup after missing the last two games, but that doesn't mean they couldn't scratch someone else in order for Morrow to play.
