New insight has revealed New York Rangers net-minder Louis Domingue's career has taken a massive turn for the worse within the National Hockey League, and it's shocking.

As the New York Rangers continue to prioritize their ongoing rebuild, they are not taking this offseason lightly, as they have undergone an immense amount of movement this offseason, including acquisitions as well as departures.
However, one Ranger has still yet to sign a new contract within the National Hockey League, that being New Yorks' unrestricted free agent (RFA), Louis Domingue.
Per PuckPedia, Domingue's last contract was a one-year, $775,000 deal which expired at the end of the 2024/25 NHL season, yet, this veteran net-minder has unfortunately not signed a deal since the expiration of his deal.

New York Rangers' goaltender, Louis Domingue, has yet to find a contract within the NHL

This 33-year old has been a bit of a journeyman in North American during his professional career, as he has spent time within seven different NHL teams and seven AHL affiliate organizations over his 12-year professional career.
During the 2024/25 season, Domingue signed with the Rangers where he endured his third year with the organization.
He played in 28 games within the AHL's Hartford and had, somewhat, of a down season, where he recorded a 3.32 GAA with a .896 SV%.
He also made one appearance with the Rangers, a 25-save victory in early January.
However, new insight has revealed that Domingue's time within the National Hockey League may be over.

A recent report has revealed that the New York Rangers' Louis Domingue's career may have hit rock bottom

Now, it appears as though this goalie is exploring his options overseas, as SportExpress' Artur Khairullin reported that Domingue could be signing with Sibir Novosibirsk of the KHL.
Ultimately, if Domingue decides that the time is right to give playing overseas a try, he does in fact have the opportunity to do so.
