The New York Rangers have just recently provided an unfortunate update on their veteran goaltender, who is currently dealing with a lower-body injury.
Back on Sunday night, it was revealed that New York Rangers veteran goaltender Jonathan Quick had sustained an injury after the organization made a shocking roster transaction involving 23-year-old goaltender Dylan Garand.
UPDATE: Brett Berard and Dylan Garand have been recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack and Scott Morrow has been assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack.
It appeared that Quick had suffered this injury during the Rangers' game against the Utah Mammoth on Saturday night, which resulted in him missing the Rangers game on Monday night.
"Jonathan Quick got hurt in yesterday's game. Though he finished the game, Garand's call up probably isn't a great sign on his status."
With that being said, this now provides Rangers 23-year-old goaltender Dylan Garand with a chance to make his NHL debut, as he has yet to do so since he was drafted by the Rangers during the 2020 NHL Draft with the 2020, 103rd overall pick.
