New York Rangers "Unknown" Injury Update On Power Forward Matt Rempe Raises Major Concern Among Fans
While the New York Rangers lost to the San Jose Sharks 6-5 in Thursday night's game on home ice, there was a thrilling rematch between two heavyweights. Ryan Reaves and Matt Rempe engaged in a tilt on the ice, which would ultimately result in an injury for Rempe.
After the two engaged in a tilt, Rempe would have to leave the ice for the locker room. According to reports, the Rangers forward has suffered an upper-body injury.
Rempe did not return to the game, as he was ultimately ruled out for the remainder of the contest with an upper-body injury.
The heavyweight rematch was thrilling, but the results afterward weren't.
Mike Sullivan wouldn't be one to expand upon what is troubling Matt Rempe at the moment, which could be good or bad.
«He's being evaluated right now for an upper-body injury,» head coach Mike Sullivan said during his postgame press conference.
Matt Rempe Is Suffering From An Upper-body Injury
Due to the fact that Matt Rempe is out of the lineup, the Rangers have had to make a call-up from the Hartford Wolfpack. Forward Brennan Othmann will be a call-up in an ironic turn of events.
With Rempe out, Othmann will likely find a temporary home on the third or fourth line in the lineup
Now, the Rangers will have to figure out a way to make sure Rempe stays healthy, as he has an expanded role in the lineup after a year of growth in 2024-25.
This season, Matt Rempe has scored 1 point in 9 games.
