And here is the top three dates that Rangers fans should mark in their calendars.

The New York Rangers will open play under their newly acquired head coach, Mike Sullivan, by hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins on Oct. 7th.

This date is undoubtedly an important one, first game back and first game at home for the Rangers.

However, this is not just any opening game, as former Penguins head coach, Mike Sullivan, who made the jump over to the Rangers, will be starting off the season against his former team.

For those New York Rangers fans who are seeking to travel to at least one game this upcoming season, look no further than the organization's matchup against the Seattle Kraken in November.

As not only one, but two former Blueshirts will be active on Kraken's roster for this game, Kakko and Lindgren.

To add, this city is also extremely fun to visit for those fans who choose to make their way up to the Pacific Northwest.

With the recently released preseason schedule, we have learned that the New Jersey Devils and the Rangers will kick off the very first game of the preseason.

With that in mind, the Rangers do not take on the Devils until they travel to Newark on March 7th. This is then followed rather quickly by them hosting the Devils on March 18th.

In their last 10 games against the Devils, the Rangers have a record of 6-4-0, leaving fans to be excited to see what New York is capable of bringing to the table for this upcoming season.
