Ex-Rangers head coach Gerard Gallant officially returns behind the bench: It was just confirmed

During Gerard Gallant's time with the New York Rangers, the team was having great success but due to the lack of playoff success the organization decided to part ways with the coach. Putting an end to Gallant's stint wth the Rangers and leaving him without a job in the NHL ever since.

Despite having an overall coaching career record of 369-262-70 with Columbus, Florida, Vegas and eventually New York, he's failed to land a Head Coaching role in the NHL since his departure from the Rangers, and now, he's made a stunning decision for his career.

Regardless of his overall coaching career record of 369-262-70, between the New York Rangers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Florida Panthers and Vegas Golden Knights, he still failed to land another coaching role in the NHL. Leaving Gerard Gallant to sign overseas in the KHL.

According to reports from Pierre LeBrun, the 61-year old veteran coach will make an official announcement this week that he is headed to Russia to coach in the KHL.

At this time we still don't have the official details on a contract or even which team Gallant will be joining, but with no roles appearing in the National Hockey League, this seems to be the next best move for Gallant to get behind the bench.
