Immediately after this news broke out, two teams were quickly linked as possible trade candidates those two teams being the Vancouver Canucks and the Philadelphia Flyers.
According to reports, both teams are currently looking to add a young center to their roster, and they just might be able to, due to the Rangers latest decision.

Not long after all these reports surfaced, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman and Chris Johnston both confirmed that the Rangers have placed Parssinen on waivers.
Meaning that the youngster will report to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League, if he manages to clear waivers, and honestly, it doesn't look like he will clear waivers, considering both the Flyers and Canucks could use his skills.
Just this season alone, Juuso Parssinen has managed to play a total of 14 games with the New York Rangers and tallied a total of three points (2 G, 1 A).
