New York Rangers President and General Manger Chris Chris is finally starting to make some signings, as he has just announced that the organization has recached an agreement with goaltender Dylan Garand on a one-year contract extension.

Just moments ago several reports surfaced that confirmed the New York Rangers and GM Chris Drury have agreed to terms on a one-year extension, two-way deal, with 23-year old goaltender, Dylan Garand.

Garand has been a very solid goaltender for the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League, as this past season he posted a 20-10-8 record in 39 games, while earning a 2.73 goals-against average (GAA), and a .913 save percentage.
Along with those amazing stats, he also managed to tally three shutouts and was tied ninth highest among all qualified goalies in the American Hockey League. Garand also represented the Wolf Pack in the 2025 AHL All-Star Challenge.

Dylan Garand was originally selected by the Blueshirts in the fourth round, 103rd overall, of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
The Victoria, British Columbia native has posted a 49-42-16 record across four AHL seasons,all with the Wolf Pack, establishing a 2.92 goals-against average and .902 save percentage. He has also made 17 Calder Cup Playoff appearances. Prior to the AHL, he appeared across five seasons for the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League (WHL).

Along with this, Rangers insider Mollie Walker of the New York Post, stated that Dylan Garand is positioned to be the New York Rangers third stringer with Louis Domingue headed to the KHL.
