A surprising New York Rangers forward doesn't hold back while calling out his teammate as they take another tough loss on Saturday against the Utah Mammoth.
So I think it's safe to say that the frustration is starting to build within the locker room, as New York Rangers forward Will Cuylle didn't shy away from calling out his teammates after Saturday night's games.
Will Cuylle calls out the New York Rangers amid ongoing scoring struggles
Following the New York Rangers' 3-2 loss to the Utah Mammoth, forward Will Cuylle called out his team as he openly stated that the team needs to get more pucks to the net and bang in some dirty goals, as the pretty ones don't seem to be working.
Here's what he said:
Will Cuylle: «I feel like we've got to get more pucks to the net, more guys in the crease and maybe bang in some dirty goals since the pretty ones aren't working right now.»
It's hard not to agree with him on this, as we see it time and time again, to many of the Rangers players are too focused on scoring highlight reel goals instead of just putting the puck to the net and forcing a rebound. Along with that, we continue to see star players miss the net when it's wide open.
However, with that being said, we have also seen the New York Rangers put up a complete 60 minutes of hard work and come out with a glorious victory at the end of the night.
So hopefully they can make some adjustments within the next few days and start getting things and the right path, if they wish to make the Stanley Cup playoffs this season.
