Roster Transaction: Brett Berard among two young players recalled by the New York Rangers

Just moments ago, the New York Rangers announced that they have recalled 23-year-old forward Brett Berard and 23-year-old goaltender Dylan Garand from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.

Along with doing this, the New York Rangers have also decided to reassign defensive prospect Scott Morrow to the Wolf Pack, after just being recalled to the Rangers just over a week ago due to ongoing injuries on the defensive end.

During Morrow's time with the New York Rangers, he had managed to only play in three games, where he remained pointless, while only getting 13:11 minutes of ice time.

Many fans have been waiting a long time for the Rangers to recall 23-year-old forward Brett Berard from the Wolf Pack this season, as the 2020 fifth-round pick, didn't make the Rangers opening-night roster out of camp this season, despite having played a total of 35 games for the Rangers last season, where he tallied six goals and four assists for a total of ten points.

However, with that being said, Berard hadn't scored in his first 14 games with Hartford, but in his last three games, he has managed to tally two goals.

On the other hand, many fans didn't expect to see Dylan Garand be recalled from the Wolf Pack, as nothing has been reported on any of the New York Rangers' current goaltenders being injured.
